Alwyndor Home Care Packages (L1-4)

I have sat on this for a year now. I am torn between the highlight of her care. It was either receiving a final statement 1 working day after her passing, with no mention of condolences, or does it go to the R Nurse on shift who said she didnt need a doctor on her last night alive. She was in enormous pain, suffering greatly and the nurse said she couldn't get a doctor tonight, but one could come in 4 days on their usual run. Thankfully a male nurse said we must get a doctor, she is in immense pain and suggested we threaten them with a report to the Aged Care Royal commission. Only then did the bother to call a doctor. A disgrace. Go elsewhere.

we had someone in our family there, they did not care for her as much as she needed. she had dementia and was bed ridden, not enough staff were concerned about the way she was in. the staff were not as friendly as we needed and the food was terrible and she never ate it. not a good place you’re welcome, for my concern

Do not go here they refused help when family was passing and are trying to scam money off of us still a year after she had passed they owe us money and refuse to pay it even tho there is a government note stating that she got scammed and doesn’t need to pay, gave through an invoice a day after the passing and the food was absolutely terrible do not send love ones here

This one star is for there appalling Accountancy only!!!!..Have nothing but praise for the staff that looked after and gave service to my Aunty. My Aunty wasn't a resident but used Alwyndor for balance classes and social respite. From day one they were charging her fees on the wrong days she was actually there when they sent the invoices. Numerous times they sent invoicing changing for days they say we didn't pay(we always paid cash or credit card) which we had to go and sort out. Seems the front desk to Accountancy weren't communicating and this continued on. We finally got a level 4 package for her and a coordinator at Alwyndor . I had always paid directly for services for months then suddenly they started to direct debit. I had already paid their service fee and means test so asked them to reimburse the money which they did incorrectly and double billed me. They also billed her for food on days she wasn't even there! 3 times i took all the paper work to the coordinator to show them their mistakes and asked them to itemise out and show me I'm wrong and all they do is keep sending me the same bill without any explanation or phone call. Just recently they have been charging her for classes which she has not gone to which have been cancelled a day before her class and even ones she has been to and we have credit card receipts. I'm not going back to sort it out and show them their wrong. This has been going on for over 3 years. It is appalling. If I didn't keep an eye on bank statements and charges this would have gone unnoticed! We can't be they only people this has been happening to. It frightens me that the elderly who have a partner going there would just take it for granted the services their paying for Wether they have been charged correctly. I can only implore if you have a family member or partner going to Alwyndor to make sure you are paying correctly for the services you are getting and keep receipts!!!
