I am very disappointed with my experience at Australian Multicultural Community Art Group. I have felt excluded from conversations and often left out, which has been very upsetting. While there are a few kind members in the group, others have made hurtful comments towards me, which has made me feel unwelcome. I had hoped for a more inclusive and supportive environment where everyone is respected and valued. I sincerely hope the group takes steps to improve communication and inclusivity for all members.
I don't even know where to begin with extending my gratitude toward Umangi and Tina for their phenomenal care of my Nonna over the years. Umangi has been a wonderful case manager for my Nonna and demonstrated genuine care and support, in particular toward Nonna's cultural and linguistic needs. Over the period of Nonna's hospitalisation until she passed, Umangi frequently checked in to ensure appropriate cultural supports were in place. Tina had become more than a support worker to my Nonna, she had become an integral carer, confidant and friend over the 6 years they knew each other. Tina not only offered support to Nonna, she was kind and caring towards me, especially towards the end of my Nonna's life. Thank you to this wonderful team at AMCS, I will be forever grateful for this show of genuine care and compassion.
